Mens Running Shoes
You can walk athletically in running shoes but you should not run hard, even infrequently, in walking shoes. If you do, according to podiatrists, you will experience discomfort in your ankles and knees that will soon turn into injuries to those joints unless you change your athletic shoes.
Mens running shoes are specially designed to flex more easily in the midsole area while still providing lateral support than other kinds of athletic shoes. We may think of athletic shoes as just shoes but modern running shoes from the major manufacturers are as carefully designed and engineered as the space shuttle.
The human foot has 26 bones and dozens of muscles and tendons. It’s no trivial matter to design and build a mens running shoe that can flex and bend to match the natural motion of the foot as it rolls from heel to toe during the running gait. To make it more complicated a substantial majority of people have floppy feet that bend toward the body’s mid-line while running, and others have high arches that resist conforming to the shape of the ground during the weight-bearing part of the gait cycle.
Three major mens running shoes manufacturers that meet the challenge of todays’ runners are ASICS, New Balance and Saucony.
